http://cgi.ebay.com/Weider-Club-560-...ayphotohosting
Does anyone have this equipment, or know annihilation almost it? Besides, is $400 a good bargain (the asking price for a used one locally), and if not, what kind of offer should nosotros make?d

Bumped.
Anyone?? We are hoping to purchase this weekend, would love some input, if any. Nosotros are both pretty new to lifting, were thinking this would be a great mode to start, the set looks pretty comprehensive.
Cheers!

The link is expired
I owned information technology, its a expert starting time rack, its max limit is 300lb though. I got it for 349 at sams order 4 years ago. Information technology came with 300lb weight. The odd matter is you take to demote outside of the rack because of its pattern.

I'd never pay that much for anything made by Weider, NEVER . And if the blueprint truly prevents you from benching inside the rack then that's enough reason to avoid getting it correct in that location. That'due south laughable if it's truthful. Looking at the pic I tin can meet that the adjustment holes don't even run the total length of the uprights - that makes absolutely no sense any.
Hey, information technology's expert that yous're looking on eBay to try to discover a deal (try craigslist.org as well). The deals are out at that place - I outfitted almost my entire dwelling gym with used merely like-new equipment I bought off eBay - but that Weider setup ISN'T a deal by whatsoever stretch of the imagination. Keep looking.

Sorry, I had a defferent rack(looked information technology upwards after seeing your updated link) I had the 650, not the 560.

That ready looks the same, the hooks are on the closer bars, hooks on each side, the within ones are to put a bar on and squat within the cage, yous can demote just information technology ways unhooking the bar from effectually you breadbasket area and moving it to your chest, which is hard with heavy weight, rather then the usual mode of unhooking it from over your head and moving information technology above your chest.

$700 is non a good deal thats an old model, the C650 I had is almost 5 years old and it was 349 from sams.
If you accept a sams guild y'all tin get the same setup every bit the C650 with a smith car add on and upper cablevision cross overs with 300lb weight.
But recall its weider/impex, its inexpensive and made for the masses (just like black & decker) Its for people how only want to get a little fit, not for someone who wants to go as potent as they want.
The cablevision pulldown unremarkably has a 150lb limit and the rack has 300lb limit.I aint gonna mention it, nope, its gonna slip...powertec rack, damn, I tried!

Thanks for the feedback. The ane I'm looking at is $400 (OBO). My married man and I are novices, nosotros were kind of figuring on starting out a little less expensive, so if we got serious nearly it (though, 300 lbs seems similar nosotros'd accept lots of room to grow), we'd sell ours for hopefully what we paid and upgrade. Is that not a practiced plan?

That's a decent plan only you are MUCH better off going with a powertec rack because they will concord much more weight and not wobble similar a weider. WIth a bench information technology'll cost you lot virtually $500 and is a MUCH better deal than the POS weider rack. Trust me, it's worth the actress $150 for practiced quality equipment that will actually last a while.

Thats what I did although I could'nt get mine sold, its in the garden shed
.
In my opinion a rack is for lifting heavy while working out on your own, it has spotters to take hold of the bar on demote presses and squats. (Although well-nigh have a handy lat attachment)
So if you guys are looking merely to become fit together and want to run across how it goes earlier investing in ameliorate stuff I would say but get a standard incline/turn down bench with a leg attachment from walmart unremarkably $sixty and a barbell set usually for $109 or get some dumbbells (yous can buy them equally yous need them, peradventure start with some 15'due south and twenty's). You can spot each other if you lot use the bar options, no spotter actually needed with dumbbells.
You can exercise all musculus groups with that, check out the bodybuilding.com exercise guide. This is one option am sure others will share their ideas.

Weider 400
If that system is in pretty good shape that's an okay bargain, just I would see if they would take closer to $300 for information technology. I work at Play It Again Sports in Boise and we accept a Weider 560 without the bench for $180.00. The plastic coating on the cable system is pretty torn upwardly, but still functions well. A good flat, incline, reject bench in here from parabody or hoist goes for about $100.00.
